Alexander Shukis
Description Alexander P. Shukis, age 65, has been a Class I director since February 2003. He is chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating, Governance and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. From July 2001 until his retirement in December 2007, Mr. Shukis was the Controller of Corporate Strategies, Inc., a merchant bank. From 1997 to July 2001, Mr. Shukis was self-employed, working as a business consultant. From 1995 to 1997, he was Chief Financial Officer and Director of Great Western Resources, Inc., an exploration and production company. He served as Vice President and Controller of Great Western Resources, Inc. from 1986 to 1995. Mr. Shukis holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Houston. Mr. Shukis was selected to serve as a director due to his extensive financial and accounting background and his knowledge of the energy industry.
