Description Mr. Kelly (51) has been President of the Company since July 2007. Prior thereto, he was Group President, Consumer, Small Business and Merchant Services since October 2005. Prior thereto, he had been President, U.S. Consumer and Small Business Services since June 2000. On October 5, 2009, American Express Company announced that Alfred F. Kelly, Jr., President of the Company and head of the Company's Global Consumer Group, will step down from his positions and leave the Company effective April 10, 2010.
