The companys Supermarkets segment offers a range of food and beverage products; non-food items, such as house wares, toys, small electrical appliances, computers and computer accessories, entertainment and leisure products, and textile products; and near-food products, such as health and beauty aids, products for infants, cosmetics, and hygiene products. As of December 31, 2012, this segment operated 212 supermarkets under the Mega in Town, Mega Bool, Zol BeShefa, and Eden Teva Market brands. Its Non-Food segment is involved in non-food retail and wholesale activities. As of December 31, 2012, this segment operated 219 non-food outlets under the Naaman, Vardinon, Sheshet, Kfar Hashaashuim, All for a Dollar, and Dr. Baby names. The companys Real Estate segment owns, leases, and develops commercial centers, logistics centers and offices, and land, as well as develops the Wholesale Market residency project in Tel-Aviv. Alon Holdings Blue SquareIsrael Ltd. also engages in cellular mobile virtual network operator activities.
