As of December 31, 2012, its operating facilities consisted of 66.6% net interest in 2 geothermal power plants in Iceland; a 100% interest in 1 geothermal power plant in Nevada; a 40% net interest in 2 run of river hydro power plants in British Columbia; and a 51% net interest in 1 wind farm in British Columbia with total capacity of 566 megawatts. Its 297 megawatts share of production capacity generates approximately 1,400 gigawatt hour of clean power annually. Alterra Power Corp. also has a portfolio of exploration and development projects. The company was formerly known as Magma Energy Corp. and changed its name to Alterra Power Corp. in May 2011. Alterra Power Corp. is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
